Cannot select card form on custom activity on timeline, configured form keeps going back to default.

Hi all,

On the main form of the contact entity, there is an activity timeline within our dynamics 365 CRM system. On this timeline, I wanted to show the records of a new activity table I created and I added a card form on this activity table containing the components I want to show on the card on the timeline of the contact for this activity type. However, when I try to select this form (information instead of default, see screenshot) on the activity on the timeline within the contact main form, save/publish the main form and refresh/check the timeline, it keeps reverting back to the default form. My changes cannot be saved in any way. Does someone have the same problem or know how to solve this? My colleague had the same problem, but sometimes it "magically" worked and saved his changes, but he didn't have an explanation.

Thanks for your response!! And sorry for my late response, we indeed came to the same conclusion. Only by switching to classic, applying the change there and saving/publishing does the trick.

A little update, going through the old experience of changing forms in power apps (advanced settings > solutions > select needed entity > go to forms > select form > select the timeline on the form) i managed to change which card form my custom activity should use, without it reverting back to the default form.

Here's a screenshot of which tabs you have to active and, where to select which activity (blue) and which card form (green) to use for that activity. After selecting them, press OK, then save and publish the form.

    Hi!

I'm having the same issues now.
Did you manage to figure out the cause for this? And how to fix it?

    Hi Partner,

I can't reproduce your question, i can change it.

Does this happen only with custom active entities? Or are all custom activity entities? Are OOB activity entities normal?

You mentioned that the timeline on the main form of the contact entity, have you tried to test timeline in other entities? same error?

Have you tried change other browsers to test? or clear browser cache? or private mode of browser?

Is this situation a recent development? Was it normal before?
