What is best approach for below requirement ?

Hi all,

I have a requirement where i need to fetch around 2 lakhs records from a entity in online crm and pass each individual record in child entity and do some calculations and based on calculations will return true and create records with that parent record reference in dummy entity , what could be the best approach for this requirement ?

when do you need this to be happen? any trigger points? any action needed from user?

Hi ,

You can create a console application and use FetchXML paging cookie .

Hi Goutam,

will the console handle the data to fetch 2lakh records and pass each record to child record and do calculations ? may be it will be aborted in the middle i suspect.

Hi,

if you have subscription to MS flow, I would suggest you achieve this with MS flow. Else console application is another option to achieve this.

You can create one flag field and update it every time after each record processed ,if by any chance any failure occur. Use executemultiplerequest for bulk create update .

Hi Pillanagrovi Sainath,

Before coming straight to the solution,can you please provide the exact requirement. I mean at the functional level? I am sure there will be a better solution/design available than to fetch 2 Lakh records and do 2 Lakh calculations and eventually create 2 Lakh more records.

Remember, smart and scalable design with quality should be the priority , always :)
