Pushing data from Dynamics to AWS

We are wanting to push some data from Dynamics to AWS. Can we do this using javascript? In this situation, our users would manually run a work flow, which changes a field on a record, and then that change triggers the javascript to push data to AWS using APIs.

As I understand it, our other options are:

1) use a custom workflow that is activated by the workflow

2) use a plug in triggered by on change of field (same as javascript scenario).

What would you all recommend here?

Well, you can think of using Microsoft Flow or Azure LogicApps as well for this. Both of them offers connectors for almost every scenario. Its a no code way of doing things in D365 CE.

If integration you are trying to do is batch, then you can think of scheduling a job in SCRIBE as well. or you can go for a combination of SSIS+Kingswaysoft connector.

    Hope this helps,

Is there no way to use Javascript to push data to AWS using the Dynamics REST APIs??

Also we don't want to push the data on a schedule. We want the data to be pushed as result of a field change event. So, field A changes to "hello", then "push data X,Y,Z," to AWS. That's the general idea of what we need.

Do you have links on how we would push data from Dynamics to AWS using Flow or Azure LogicApps??

I am not sure what component you are trying to integrate your D365 CE with, however I am assuming it would be service hosted on Amazon cloud. For that you will get connectors. Please check this list.

    Pranav,

Thank, the link to the connectors is very helpful. Specifically, we would like to pass some text in a string field from Dynamics into a string field in a database hosted on AWS. In this use case, can you recommend specific connectors or approaches?

As an alternative to writing code, you can use third-parties. For example, Skyvia allows users to integrate data from cloud into DWH without any line of code. skyvia.com/data-integration/integrate-dynamics-crm-amazon-rds
