Printing error with Retail Modern POS

(0) ShareShare

Hi,

Printing receipts doesn't seem to be working in standard Microsoft MPOS version 10.0.8.

This was working fine in previous version.

I'm using OPOS driver.

This is the error I get:

"OPOS printer failed to execute PrintMemoryBitmap"

Anyone experienced the same error ?

Thank you

I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

I did not see such error. Please create a support incident for further investigation.

Do you have any images on receipt like a logo or signature or barcode? Try by removing all these from the receipt template. You can also check on simulator instead of an actual printer.

We have seen an issue with the OPOS printer due to the incompatible bitmap image used as a logo.

You are right, the logo was causing the issue.  I removed the logo place holder & receipt printed.

It looks that if you use a logo place holder without selecting an image it won't work either.

What characteristics the logo should have for it to print ? Size, monochrome..

I haven't managed to get any logos to work so far.

    Thank you.

This is the error that a logo on receipt causes:

ExceptionMessage: OPOS printer failed to execute 'PrintMemoryBitmap' with error '104'

I still can't get any logos on receipts to print.  Having said that not sure what the logo properties should be.

Anyone has any links related to recommended logo properties & on how to add a logo to receipt ?

If I remove logo component from receipt everything works fine.

OPOS printers only support monochrome Bitmap images. The PNG or the image with big in dimension are not printed through OPOS. You can convert the image to monochrome BMP (image.online-convert.com/convert-to-bmp), reduce the size and then try.

Best will reach Microsoft support so they can give you exact guidelines for OPOS print capabilities.

Hi, I would recommend to read documentatin to your printer and its drivers - they should mention image properties, it should not be really POS printing problem. Also most of the drivers have test tools with them - that you can use for receipt testing.
