Hi all,

Would like to check if there's any impact if renaming AD user.

Eg From Domain\ABCD -> Domain\ABC.D

AD able to rename, but when in Navision, will it have any impact?

Thanks,

A.Skalton

    The User Name field in the User table is simply a character string that pulls in from AD.  The Windows SID (Windows Security ID) field is what you'll want to be concerned with for the most part.  If that Windows SID does not change they'll still be able to access the application just fine.  Going forward any areas of the application where User Name is pulled into a table it will pull the updated updated AD user name.  This should not go back and change any/all records within the system where the old AD user name was written.
