Assembly Orders & posting groups

Hello

I'm trying to assemble an item (the error returns for all items I've tried to assemble so far) and the following error is returned

The General Posting Setup does not exist. Identification fields and values: Gen. Bus. Posting Group='',Gen. Prod. Posting Group='PURCH COGS'

When I go into the general posting setup, I can't find anywhere that the General Business posting group is not setup. When narrowing down based on the prod posting group "PURCH COGS" it's used twice and both times have a (different) business posting group

Thanks

I have the same question (0)

The set Gen. Bus. Posting Group (empty) / Gen. Prod. Posting Group (not empty) combination uses in General Posting Setup for Manufacturing story

    something a-la:

Unfortunately not. As below, the Gen Bus posting group is set for all gen prod posting groups.

Whichever item I add or remove to the assembly BOM to test an assembly it always returns the error that the gen bus posting is not set

Do you have Gen. Bus. Posting Group (empty) / Gen. Prod. Posting Group (not empty) combination in your setup? Try to add it.

Yes I just did that and it works - Thanks! Would you know the reason why the Bus posting needs to be empty?

An old behavior. Key point from my understanding - Manufacturing item is more about Product Group... the potential entries should not depend on Business Group (customer or etc.) Item/Product specific in a focus...

This has worked for me! Thank you so much. Using NAV 2013.
