I am looking for a simple way to inactivate large ranges of GL accounts without having to use Integration Manager, manipulate the sql database, or write a program. It seems rather cumbersome to have to do this one account at a time via Cards-Account Maintenance. Any suggestions?

Thanks Frank, problem solved
Sam you can sort and filter by any account segment, Open the accounts look up window in Mass Modify, click on the 'View' arrow, select Additional Sorts>Custom Sort and specify the sort order you prefer.
Hope this helps,
I don't find Integration Manager to be very easy to use unless you're a programmer, which I'm not. I'm also frustrated that the way GP displays account ranges prevents me from using the Mass Modify feature. Our general ledger is set up as aaaa-dddd-pppp (account-department-project) and if I could filter the account range by Project, then this would be really easy within Mass Modify.
You can use the Mass Modify Chart of Accounts window (Cards >> Financial >> Mass Modify) to inactivate multiple accounts.
Sam,
Just curious to know why don'tyou want to use Integration Manager? Its very easy and safe method to update GL Accounts.
Thanks
Sandip
