Emailing Statements and Document Layouts

Is there a way to email customer statements out of Business Central without filling in the Document Layouts for the Customers. When we try to email a statement without this filled in we get the error 'Target email has not been specified on the document layout for the Customer'.  If I fill in the target email on the document layout, I am able to email the invoice.

If not and the Document Layout with target email has to be filled in for each customer, is there a way to have the Document Layout autopopulate whenever a new customer is created or the customer email is updated on the Customer card without manually adding or editing the document layout for that Customer?

    Hello,

    It was designed in such a way that if the report in customer's Document Layout is not the same as in Report Selection Sales, the user will always get this error.

    I have an email on the Customer Card and report selection is completed but I am unable to email the statement to the customer.

    When I select email as the Report Output and click OK, I still get the same message 'The target email address has not been specified on the document layout for Customer'.

    I have tried not using Document layout and adding the line in the Document layout without the Email but get the same result. I can only email the Customer statement if I add the line in the document layout and include the target email on the line.

    Do you have the document layout created and are just leaving the email out? If so, don't create the line.

    If you do not have a document layout, the report in the report selection and the email on the customer card, should be what is used to email your statements.
