Like plugins, do action has pipeline execution too?

when we write pluing we have preoperation and post and all events. When we write action and register its step in plugin registeration tool then too we get option for preoperation and postoperation. But I thought Action are direct like as they are called directly from some code or via workflow. Am I thinking correct or is there way to see preoperation and postoperation in action too?

Hi,

We could have steps registered on Pre-operation and Post-operation for Actions too. This is required when you want to validate something before actions excecutes then you can add your code in pre-operation.

If you want to perform some operation once action execution is completed then you can add your code in post-operation stage.
