Exchange enabled unlicensed user in D365

Hi,

Is there anyway of adding an unlicensed Azure account as a exchange enabled user within D365 ? We already have an no reply azure account which is not D365 licensed but has appeared as a user in our users list.

I am trying the same with a second account, but we cannot see the second user. Both accounts are set up the same way, no licenses, group membership is the same.... but we can't see the second user.

If I temporarily add a power automate free license I assume it will add the second user? If I remove the power automate free license I assume the user will still show in D365 ?

Exchange enabled unlicensed user in D365

Hi,

In my testing, it is not possible for users without a license to be Exchange enabled users.

Exchange is enabled when a user is assigned an Office E5 license.

Exchange enabled unlicensed user in D365

Hey!

If you temporarily add a license to the user, YES; the user will show in the environment, possible as an Enabled user. But if you remove the license and no other license provides capacity, this user will become disabled, which might prevent other functionalities.
