You might want to try having everyone log out of SL and then go into Database Maintenance and run the Synchronize All Ownership and Security. This should correct the issue that the user is having. If the user still has permission errors when trying to retrieve information, you may want to run a SQL trace. I have copied the link for downloading the templates that you will need to use. Import the template (that matches your version of SQL Server) to the SQL Profiler and start a trace. Have the user replicate the permissions error then stop the trace. You will then need to look through the trace to find out what permissions are needed. You should also see the error that the user was getting (or something similar).
