Quotedetail of closed quote can be modified, which is wrong

Hi there,

When you make a quote as read only (by activating -> won or activating -> revised or activating -> lost) you are still able to modify quotedetails. Hence you may modify critical parts of a quote, like the price or discount on quotedetails.

Any idea how to stop that?

    Hi Simon,

What build are you on? Can you reproduce the same behavior on a brand new CRM Organization without any customizations ? If yes, then i'd suggest reaching out to Microsoft and see if this isn't a bug and can provide a fix for you.

Until the above settles, as a workaround you can create a plugin triggered on update of the quote detail. The plugin can then check the state of the parent quote and if this is closed give back an exception to the user and roll back the transaction.

    Regards,

    Radu

Thanks for your response. I am using 9.1.0000.4437. Also tried on freshly installed instance, same behaviour. In classic and unified interface.

Plugin is an ungly workaround, but better than nothing.

    Hi,

Instead of plugin, you can restrict the update using the real time workflow as well.

    Hope this helps.
