so i am not generating license plate even when registring a purchase order or RAF i am using work policies in order to not generate license plate,

that was my customer demand

but i need to print labels with item code and batch number and some other infomration, is it possible to do that withour generating license plate

PS: i have activated print label parameter in mobile device menu and also added a line in work template for printing label

thank you

    Hi partner,

I think you have to do some customization.

    Hi

Work policies are used to suppress the creation of Work. If you suppress the creation of Work, then Work templates are not important. You will not be able to add a Print line to a Work template and expect that to trigger a label if you have a Work policy which is suppressing the creation of Work.

However, it might be possible to use the parameter on the mobile device menu item; I don't recall ever testing that in combination with work policies. If you register a PO receipt or perform a RAF using a mobile device, and if you have Print label enabled, check if you are creating new lines in the Licence plate labels inquiry. If you are (and regardless of whether your locations are Licence plate tracked), you will be able to print labels.

    Hi,

Indeed i tried to active Print label on the mobile menu device but no line is created on License plate labels inquiry,

As a conclusion i guess its not possible so print label without activating license plate

No, that's not it. You can create LP Labels, even when you are not using LP on the locations. The reason you get no LP Label (even when Print label is ticked) is the Work policy, but I have no good explanation for why that should be the case.

to expand on Guy's reply, in order to be able to generate a label , D365 needs a record on the License Plate Label table.

The trick is for you to build a Pick/Put process where you generate automatically the LP in the pick part and on the PUT part you allocate into a location with no LP.

In this way you will be able to feed the License Plate Label and generate the label

The license plate would be a random generated one which you can ignore and add all the other info on the label itself.

Now, this process assumes you generate Work for your inbound warehousing activity.

For our implementation , the warehousing team still needed D365 to generate a label without generating work from the product receipt and we needed to customize that part.
