Automatic consumption of finishing agent

Hello,

We are using the Production Module along with advanced warehousing (Directed Put-Away & Pick)

Half of our products we produce have a finishing agent applied during the final stage of production.

We are using Pick + Back Flushing so all consumption is happening when we Finish the production order.

I'm thinking what I need is Machine Center where finishing agent is stocked, but I'm not sure, here is what I'm looking for:

All core components are Picked from warehouse as needed, Finishing agent would not need to be picked, but just consume with the rest of the components when finishing the production order.

Right now we just have a Faux Bin barcode, and the Barcode of the finishing agent Item Number by the component staging area that is being scanned at the end of the pick, but this leaves room for error that we would like to avoid.

If it is free issue material from the finishing area, I.e. does not require a pick, set it to Backward flush rather than pick and backward.

It will be consumed from the open shop floor bin for that location. You don’t need to link the open shop floor bin to a specific work or machine centre unless you have a compelling need to do so.
