I love it! have implemented it many times, their support is great, easy to customize the screens per user. have you seen a demo of it?
Hi Rick,
SalesPad is a nice add-on for GP but depending on what you are looking for our product, BluWare, has had great success when compared with SalesPad for a sales add-on for GP.
BluWare is browser based, geared towards helping users accomplish a lot very quickly, and offers many additional features.
Let me know if I can provide you with any other information.
Best,
Adam
Rick, thanks for posting.
I think if you ask most of our customers, the Pros far outweigh any cons. There are things that pop up that some of our customers see as cons, but those tend to be few and far between. One thing to keep in mind is that we use Microsoft eConnect for writing to the GP tables and sometimes their functionality doesn't always match the standard functionality of GP. Like tax schedules. We see a lot of existing GP customers that setup an EXEMPT tax schedule in GP with no tax detail. While this works fine in GP, eConnect requires at least one tax detail in the tax schedule specified on the sales document. While this isn't typically a problem, it does require someones time to ensure the GP tax schedules are updated to include a tax detail.
SalesPad offers a wide range of features for SOP, POP, and Inventory. I also noticed that you posted questions about Field Services and Barcode solutions for GP. We have a separate product called DataCollection that handles barcoding, picking/packing, recieving, and inventory movement within GP. We also have equipment management within SalesPad that a number of our customers use in place of the GP Field Service module.
I've worked with Melissa in the past and she is a great resource to use or you're welcome to give us a call to discuss our products (www.salespad.net). We would be happy to show you a demo and discuss pros and cons of SalesPad and our other products.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Jacob
Posting POs in SalesPad locks the sql databases and can be very strenuous on the internal network sometimes to a stall it usually depends on the volume of your line items and number of POs. Their support is pretty expensive but very responsive as they remote into your desktop. Although there is not much to learn off their knowledge base I found that their IC was builds were always the best as intuitive. Not sure if they improved over the years but I eventually migrated to AX with better results.
I walked into a company that has Salespad, and has struggled to get people to use it. It works great on the front end (seems like what you would use for a pass-through distribution company), but for our small manufacturing company, the total lack of useful reporting is a problem. The quick report builder is poor at best, and thr right-click output in Sales Monitor does double lines and such. From what I see, this program needs a major reporting overhaul.
Try using SSRS to render reports to your users. SalesPad has been around for a long time so I bet there are reports already out there.
SalesPad is awesome. Very easy to use, customize and support. Get a demo of it. Does everything you want.
Pro's:
- Modern and elegant user interface (nothing to envy any modern competing ERP)
- A complete replacement of Dynamics GP operational functionalities
- Extends standard GP functionalities to a high level of sophistication and richness of features (again nothing to envy any modern competing ERP)
- Built entirely in .net. It has extension points throughout the application so customers can develop their own extensions using C#
- Combines ERP, CRM, BI, Warehouse Management, Mobile deployment , Sales Workflow and much more into a single integrated solution
- Easy to learn and fast to deploy
- Excellent support
Con's:
- No posting and no financial functionality. You will have to use standard Dexterity forms for posting your SalesPad transactions and for all GL, Budgeting, FA, HR and Payroll)
- No Project Accounting functionality
- No replacement for standard GP workflow
- No simple Enhancement Plan like Microsoft's (@16%). SalesPad requires a combined Enhancement plan/Support plan @22%
