The login Failed for my GP company after FRx Sysdata copied to new server from old server.

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi All,

I have a requirement to migrate my FRx reports to be MR in my live server.

So i have installed the FRx 6.7 SP9 in my test envrionment, and copied the "sysdata" folder from my PROD as per the technet article https://support.microsoft.com/en-in/kb/861979.

After that when i launh the Report Designer, i have got the pop up to select the default company. when i select my company,it throws the below error.

Can anyone suggest on this issue?

I've run into a variety of issues when copying the Sysdata to a new location.  I've had better luck following the steps in this link:  https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/861979

    My suggestions:

On the test environment, ensure that the ODBC connection to the DB server is working. Also ensure that the name of the ODBC on Test is the same as that used on PROD (since you copied the sysdata from PROD).
