Difference between General Ledger Entries and Item Ledger Entries

Hello,

After doing an invetory adjustment using an item journal I get a difference betwwen the value in the General Ledger Entries and in the Item Ledger Entries. They dont cancel each other as they should.

I think your posting setups are to blame. Find the exact difference and look for a general ledger entry in that amount. If that doesn't work, you will need to compare all the value entries to the general ledger to find the culprit.

Hello,

It appears that the user was updating the info wrong. Putting the price and quantities invented.

That kind of mistake should not create a difference between the GL and the item ledger entries. Unless someone tried to correct that mistake manually instead of doing a credit memo.
