Auto-fill Parent regarding field in Outlook / CRM

Hi guys,

I wanted to know if it is possible to auto-fill Parent regarding field in Outlook. When I receive an email from someone that is a contact in CRM, It is being tracked in CRM and outlook. But is it possible that it tracks the same communication inside the related Account as well as Opportunity/Lead. Ex: I receive an email from Mr.Jones and Mr.Jones is related to an Account called 'TestAct'. If I send an email to Mr.Jones, It should track the same email under Mr.Jones and 'TestAct' without me having to set the parent regarding. It needs to figure it out automatically.

Thanks

Shabeer: Activities roll up to the parent. So if you're tracking an email against a contact of an account, the email will also show up in the parent accounts activity feed.

This is normal behavior, if you kept the original relationship between an account and contact.

    You're not seeing this?

No I am not seeing this. It's tracking it with the contact that sent me the email but if the contact has an Account, I can't see it under the Activity feed in Parent Account

Joe Matlon, it works for accounts. Sorry I didn't see it correctly, but can the same thing work for Opportunity and Lead as well? Meaning the emails are tracked under related Opportunities and Leads as well

If an email is associated with an Opportunity, Lead, or Contact, it should also show up under the activity feed on the parent Account.

If an email is from a Contact, it needs to be manually associated with the corresponding Lead or Opportunity. Then it will show up in the activity feed for the Contact, Opportunity/Lead, and the parent Account.

Otherwise, the only thing that happens automatically, is the association with the Contact (via email address), and that contact's parent Account.

    Does this answer your question?
