Looking for information regarding RMS support for Windows 10.  I haven't seen info if it is supported yet or requirements for upgrade...especially with the pending automatic Windows 10 upgrade.

Windows 10 is not officially release yet.  It takes normally takes Microsoft about 6 months to add official support for an OS to RMS.  That being said, it should work.  Just make sure to run through a test setup.

    Thank you for your question.

While the final version of Windows 10 has not been released, we have tested on the beta version and it does work on it.

I would like to note that RMS 2.0.0151 is an unsupported version of RMS. There was a refresh of Service Pack 4, which will bring the RMS version 2.0.0155.

You can download the Service Pack 4 refresh, along with the other updates for RMS here:

I installed RMS and updates up to hotfix 2.00.2014 on a few windows 10 PCs, and every single one I get the Run-time error '429': ActiveX component can't create object when I attempt to run Store Ops Administrator.
I've tried running as Admin, and every compatibility mode going back to w95
Is there something else I should have installed?

Same issue here. I only installed mine on my laptop so the issue is only contained to my system. I have been on the net for a few days now hoping to get some answers but nothing.

Have you tried to do a repair of RMS (under programs list)?

I tried a repair by re-installing. Did not fix the problem.

I wasn't able to repair from program list though.. I don't have an .msi file, just MSDRMS20_SO_enUS.exe

The MS Dynamics RMS installation ends with an error window stating " Error 1904. Module c:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\80\Tools\Binn\slqdmo.dll failed to register. HRESULT -2147024714. Contact your support personnel." and i have the choices to Abort, Retry or ignore. Choosing Abort uninstalls it. Choosing retry does not change anything as the error screen continuously comes up. Ignore completes the installation but when you try launching Administrator, the Run-time error '429': ActiveX component can't create object comes up and i cant get pass that. Running a repair from Programs and Features brings back the first error message. Hope this is detailed enough to have a picture of the issue. I do have SQL Express 2008 R2 installed as well.

Same issue here. DLL not registering, ActiveX can't create object error when launching RMS Admin.

    Did you ever resolve?

Scott--any other ideas? I'm trying to roll out RMS on a Surface 3 for an event.
