How to remove Read access to specific group of contacts

My business requirement: All users need Read access for all contacts, EXCEPT a specific set of contacts. Contacts are currently owned by different business units, so I can't set the read privilege at the BU level. People need to see contacts that other BUs own.

I've read that you can create an access team, but assigning this team to thousands of records seems inefficient when I only need to restrict access to a few hundred. Really stumped and any help would be appreciated.

    Hi,

you can resolve it with BU privileges.

    What you need to do:

    1. Create a parent BU (BUP)

    2. Assign BUP as parent BU on all of your BU

    3. Assign All your "special contacts" to the BUP

    4. Create a new security roles with privileges BU and child BU

    5. create a team in the BUP

    6. assign the team the new security role

    7. add the users who need to see your special contacts.
