    Hi All,

This is possible using VBA with Report Writer.

You basically need to make some conditions in VBA to test if it's an invoice (based on the value of "Field9"), then retrieve the DOCNUMBR from PM30200 (based on the first X number of digits from "Field2", because "Field2" prints the voucher number along with the date.

Also, querying PM30200 assumes the invoice is fully paid off by this check.  If it's not then you'll need to do a little more coding to check the PM20000 also).

    Thanks,

    Justin

I believe that Leslie is correct - the problem with adding a field to a report that uses the Array type presentation like this, is that it uses subreports to get to the answer.

In laymen terms, it means that the developer had to write code to get the data onto the screen for you.  Not the best, but it is the way this application works.

    Hope this help.

I don't think he'll be able to do it. Not in Report Writer anyway.

    Thanks Soma,

I look forward to reading about what you find. Whenever I've looked into changing those reports with Report Writer I run into a brick wall. What I learned is that those 'Field 2' type entries were like embedded subreports because they actually contain other one to many relationships. it's just like how you'd have to do a sub-report in Crystal. At that point we used a not RW solution. I've never tried to create a RW function to drop in the middle of all of that.

    Hi,

I know Soma recognizes the report, but on my screen I cannot read the title. Which report is this?
