Sync Tasks from Business Central to Outlook 365

Hi,

I activated synchronisation between Business Central Cloud and Outlook for contacts. This works fine.
But I also want to sync tasks from business central to my outlook. Is this possible? How can I do it?

I do not want to use Dynamics 365 Sales, I only want to use Business Central and Outlook / Office 365.

Thanks

Tom

I have the same question (1)

As far as i know synchronization of tasks is not available, maybe it will be in the future.

Hi, I haven't seen this feature either, and at least not in the next Release Plan.

Business Central 2022 release wave 1 plan:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365-release-plan/2022wave2/smb/dynamics365-business-central/planned-features

    Hope this helps as well.

    Thanks.

This would be useful. Is this already posted as an idea?

    Hello Tom,

Business Central cannot sync Tasks with Outlook unless you use Dynamics 365 Sales.
BC-only setups support Contacts sync, but Task/To-Do sync is not supported anywhere in Microsoft’s documentation.

If you need it, the only workaround is a Power Automate flow that creates Outlook Tasks from BC records.

    Hi
You can always generate ideas here: Categories
Just to give you an idea, I also found other integrations that create tasks in To-Do; they might serve as inspiration.

    Hello,

The best workaround is to create a Power Automate flow that pushes Business Central tasks to Outlook To-Do, as there is no built-in feature for this integration.
