set timer inside a custom workflow

Hi, is it possible to set a timer inside a custom workflow. I have a custom workflow to create incident and send emails, and I have another counter to be triggered once the incident created and it will update incident number, but the email will need the incident number, it is always empty since the counter get triggered after the incident creation, so can I set some timer or anything like that?

    Hi,

    You can manage it by having parent and child workflows , for example you may check in your parent workflow you can check if the number is generated only then call your child workflow to do further changes.
