I8422.Error_2300_.jpg"Service Unavailable"

Upon checking the Event Viewer.

See below

I have check the error # 8007007e and 0000007e, but the error information brings more question than answer.

This happen after the uninstall of mcaffee anti virus and replace with Symantec.

Could the Uninstallation triggered this?

Please Advice

    Hi Rob,

Finally I was able to determine the cause of Service Unavailable it was McAfee Host Intrusion Prevention. Thanks for all the advice.

    Mike,

    I'd try the following.

    1.  Try logging into Business Portal.  (Note the time when doing this.)

    2.  Go to your log files and look for errors around the same time as the action above.

    3.  Research what can be done to resolve those errors.

    Thanks

    Rob

    Mike,

It's been awhile since I've looked at that version of SharePoint.  I did a search online and found the following information.  Hopefully it's helpful.

    support.microsoft.com/.../827926

    Drive:\Windows\System32\LogFiles\STS

    Thanks

    Rob

    Mike,

I'd take a look at your SharePoint logs.  Hopefully they'll offer more clues.  This path should be close:  D:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\12\LOGS.

    Thanks

    Rob
