Hello,

As shown below, I'm going to select a proper worker from Resource column to add my working hours against a work order.

When I click the drop-down icon, it seems that only some of resources (type : Human Resource) appear in the list.

Does anyone know which parameters make resources to be shown in the list?

Also, where can we define the selected resource's hourly rate? (the last column in yellow)

Hello Everyone,

I have similar kind of issue. Need expert's help.

I have set up all the parameter and project setting as said in this blog. It is working perfectly in work order with single workorder job line. But when I have multiple work order job lines and during hour journal updating, price is not refreshing automatically when I'm updating hour. Refer below image 1. Both line1 and line 2 is not updating initially until I click any of one filed in same line again. (ex. line property or category or resource or work order job). After I click any one of these field, amount is getting refreshed (Refer image2). Then line amount calculation is working properly.

Is anyone faced the same issue? Or resolved the same issue? Is it because of any parameter setup or bug?

Thanks Hana,

Additionally, I noticed that I will have to define list and price information in the following pages.

Project management and accounting > Project resources > Resources list

Project management and accounting > Setup >Prices > Cost price (hour) & Sales price (hour)

After setting above pages, I was able to select a proper resources and see a calculated amount.

Hi Michael,

According to your screenshot description, the data displayed in the resource list in the work journal can be found in Organization Management>Resources>Resources>Resources>Resources tab. Here you can create resources and types, as shown in the screenshot below:

Maintenance workers and worker groups - Supply Chain Management | Dynamics 365 | Microsoft Learn

For the project category maintenance hours shown in your screenshot, the definition of cost price for this project category can be set in Project Management and Accounting > Settings > Price > Cost Price.

You can also set the Journal and Hour utilization in Project Management and Accounting>Settings>Project Management and Accounting Parameters. According to your settings for the project category, it will affect the amount in the last column.
