    Hello @peter fun,

In Business Central, to export a list of users along with their assigned licenses (or permission sets), go to Users page (Users), then use the Permissions action to view each user’s assigned permission sets (which reflect license access). Use Open in Excel or Edit in Excel to export the list. Note that Business Central itself does not show Microsoft 365 license assignments those must be checked in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center under Users > Active users > Licenses. So, combine both sources if you need full visibility.

Additionally hope this resources will also give some hints

Thanks Benjamin for the quote, and hopefully the information below gives you some hints as well.

    Hi,

Exporting users with their assigned licenses in BC isn’t natively exposed through standard pages, since license data is managed via Microsoft 365 and only partially reflected inside BC.

    Here’s what’s possible:

    • You can open the Users page in BC and run Update Users from Microsoft 365 to refresh the license-related data. While it doesn’t show license types directly, you’ll get synced user information tied to permission sets and groups.
    • License assignments are stored in a hidden internal table called User Plan, which you can surface using Query 774 “Users in Plans”. To view this, append ?query=774 to your BC environment URL, then export the results from that query view.
    • If you need cleaner output, consider building a simple list page referencing Query 774 — showing User Name, Plan Name, and Status. Many admins use this for auditing license usage without leaving BC.
    • For full licensing details, your best option is the Microsoft 365 Admin Center → go to Billing → Licenses → select the license → choose Export Users to download a full list.

To export a list of users along with their assigned licenses in Business Central (SaaS):

    Steps:

    1. Go to: Users page in Business Central (Search 🔍 > Users).

    2. Use the “Open in Excel” or “Share > Open in Excel” feature to export the user list.

    3. The “License Type” column will show each user’s license (e.g., Full, Team Member, External).

    > Note: If you need additional license assignment info from Microsoft 365 (e.g., Essentials, Premium), use Microsoft 365 Admin Center or PowerShell.

    Hello,

    The following options might help:

    - In Busines Central Users and Open in Excel to be able to display the License Type.
    - In the Admin Center of Microsoft 365, Users -- Active user and view the licenses.

    I hope you can help.

    Regards,

    Andres
