You will want to change the Rounding Precision field for that item. If you go to your Items page and open the item that is on that SO then you can look at the Units of Measure for that item.:
You need to change the "Quantity Rounding Precision" field to either or the appropriate amount of decimal places (0.1, 0.01, 0.001 etc.).

Note you may have to delete that line on the Sales Order first and then change the Quantity Rounding Precision.

Can you please Qty per unit of measure in Item card

Delete the lines from sales order , set rounding precision and add the item in sales order

    Hi,

As per my knowledge, please check the unit of measure of that particular item and mention the rounding precision as 0.01 so that you can try to enter 0.5 in the quantity field. Similar to what was mentioned by Teagen.

Please test this in sandbox environment first.

    Hello,

Your item’s Unit of Measure doesn’t allow decimals, so BC blocks 0.5.
Fix it by updating the Qty. Rounding Precision on the Item’s Unit of Measure (or the UoM itself) to something like 0.00001.

After that, decimal quantities will work.

    Regards,
    Oussama Sabbouh

Hi, hope the following can give you some hints.
Business Central 2021 wave 2 (BC19) new features: Rounding for base unit of measure (Quantity Rounding Precision)

    Thanks.
