A/P Invoices Not Appearing to Apply

My goodness! Yet, another problem.

For about the billionth time, I'm having an issue where a posted A/P invoice is not showing up for a vendor in the payment journal when I click Process and Apply Entries.

When I posed this question last time, I was simply told to make sure the vendor was set up right, etc.  Trust me.  He is (and was then).

    Disregard.....the author of an A/P EFT document claims that you should place the EFT payment method in the vendor card's Payment Method field.  This is absolutely 100% incorrect.  If you do this, BC will automatically apply upon posting the invoice.

    Hi John,

    You've got it.  A Payment Method with a Balancing Account immediately posts the payment, applies the payment to the invoice, and closes the documents. Not typically what you want. It works well if over the counter cash or payment is made. Other than that, it's not.
