Using the word Template introduced in CRM 2016 for Quote the quantity field shows 1.00000
Is there any way to set the precision of the decimal type of XML fields.

HI , You can't control the decimal points from the MS Word,
The decimal points are displayed based on your attribute metadata precision.
To make the decimal point to 2 you need to change the field decimal precision
see the following image
It doesn't work, i changed the precision to 2, recreated doc from scratch. it still shows 5 decimals
Hi Vladimir,
Use the expression (~f=#,##0.00 ) in your word document with the field that you are using.
