Landed Cost

Hello everyone,

I've been trying to setup up Cost type code Weight, but I don't want the allocation to be done Fixed.

Meaning, if I have a 3 items that weight 100kg, 300kg, and 600kg, the current setup is done to multiply the weight by a number in EURs.

I want the weight to be total by voyage, and then distribute by total items weight. Something like measurement does

For example, the charge is 100 EUR per weight.

ItemA would be charged 10EUR,

ItemB 30EUR, and

ItemC 60EUR.

Any help?

Thanks

    Hi,
Each cost can be set up for different levels of the voyage and apportioned to the item level via apportionment rules that support quantity, volume, weight, amount and defined volume divisors. You can check this blog, it mentions cost allocation in landed cost and gives an example (first specify the cost range, add additional criteria, and finally specify the estimated charge code to be added and its allocation method), you can view it for reference.

    Hi,
You can refer to this official documentation: Landed cost module - Supply Chain Management | Dynamics 365 | Microsoft LearnThe Landed cost module helps businesses streamline inbound shipping operations by giving users complete financial and logistical control over imported freight, from the manufacturer to the warehouse. For imported goods, landed costs can account for 40 percent or more of the total cost of each imported item. Therefore, the challenge is to provide accurate estimates for landed costs.
    Best regards,
    Kevin
