How can I set a default Landing page for my dynamics CRM online. Say for example when the user logs in , I want him to get redirected to a dashboards and activities page.

Hi everybody,
the solution is, to remove the 'XRM' Tab completely, which can be done within the SiteMap. Please refer this document here:
community.dynamics.com/.../editing-sitemap-in-dynamics-365
The rule in words is: 'The first entry in the first tab is displayed as default'. In Version 8.2 the first tab was 'Sales' and the first 'Entry' was 'Dashboards'. Within V 9.0 it was 'XRM' and some other entry (I didn't remember). Just removed this in the SiteMap and that's it.
Hi Hannes,
Please refer below article. Hope this helps

Hallo everybody,
with Version 9.0 the Home Page seems to be changed from the former Dashboards to the new 'XRM' Pane and it shows now 'My Open Leads' by default. How can I change this to Dashboards?
Thanks!
Hi Nithya Gopinath
How can i set these landing page option to dashboard on user creation itself in the CRM
Hi,
You can set your default page in the Personal Options. To access your Personal Options, click on the “cog” icon on the right-hand size of the navigation bar, and then click on Options.
www.magnetismsolutions.com/.../set-your-default-start-page-in-crm-2013
The user can select his default landing page from Personal Settings> General> Select your home page and settings for Get Started panes. Select the default work area (default pane) and then the entity (default tab). Personal settings is that gear icon top right of the screen.
HI.
What do you mean with a dashboard and activities page?
Actually by default the user should land on the dashboard page, in case this is the first menu item on your sitemap.
Within the customization settings you should be able to define one dashboard as default. Or you could assign security roles to your dashboards to display different dashboards to users based on their security roles.
The user of course has the possibility to select another dashboard as default using the pin on the left side of the dashboard selection.
And the user can define in his settings, which working area and menu item should be loaded by default.
