Email Notifications from a Warehouse Shipment

Hi,

I wanted to see if there was a way to automate an email notification with an attachment of the warehouse shipment to a supplier once you have released the warehouse shipment created from a transfer order.

Is this something I can crate by using workflows or will this need to be customized?

Thanks!

I have the same question (0)

I don't think there is an out of box template to set up for the releasing warehouse shipment event. but this might be able to be customized cause releasing whse shipment creates a request inside BC I think.

Hi, I recommend using Power Automate, it's easy to do

How to send a message in Teams using Power Automate

    https://yzhums.com/19698/

And, Power Apps and Power Automate support for media/image & document attachments

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks.

Hi, not an attachment but it is possible to pull all shipment information with Power Automate and then send an email with that information.

You should have a power automate license included with Business Central.

I am a BC developer and have created something similar for a customer.
The Sales Shipment Header has already a built in method that was added to send records (Posted Sales Shipment).
I added an email scenario for Shipments.
Then added an action called Post and Send... that then calls the method (SendRecords) which sends according to the Document Sending Profile.
It requires dev but is cleaner than using Power Automate in my opinion and looks and feels like std BC.
