New license blocking temporary tables outside of license range

My newest BC license is not allowing me to design or execute temporary tables that are outside of my license range.

My license from Jun 2020 allows me to do this. (BC14)

This link shows that Microsoft knew about this functionality and purposefully allowed it: https://forum.mibuso.com/discussion/60177/temporary-tables-outside-license-range

Has something changed in the last 12 months?

I have the same question (0)

    Hello,

You may want to raise this via partner center to Microsoft. I would first ask the license department.

    Thanks.

No luck here. My partner tried creating a ticket with Microsoft, but was told that they needed to talk to the "Technical Support Team".

My partner does not expect that they will get anywhere with a ticket to that team and said I'd have to pay the hourly rate for them to continue pursuing this. I can't afford that right now, but may re-visit in the future.

My guess is that sometime in the last year, someone in the Licensing department clicked the wrong button--unknowingly removing something that was there by-design. Hopefully someone else will pick this up and try to get Microsoft's attention.

If anyone wants more details in order to take this to Microsoft, please reach out. I keep all my old license files and license details.

    Hello,

Please send me a direct message (not via the community / not visible to others) with the ticket number you got back from Partner Center. Microsoft CSS does not have access to ticket numbers raised to the license department (Operation Center / EOC / Partner Center support), but I may be able to contact a few people.

As far as I know we do not charge per the hour for technical reactive break/fix support nor license queries, so that is a message we usually do not hear back.

Usually a Dynamics partner has a support contract with Microsoft so they can raise tickets on behalf of you as a customer. If it is not a bug but a configuration challenge, we will distract the ticket from the support contract.

    Thanks.
