Hi Super CRM folks ,

We are in an situation where there are few 100 crm users out 500 users of  who might be having windows xp as OS and IE 8 as  their machines  while we roll out CRM 2013 ... I know that this not supported  as per planning guide hence I needed know what are OOB features and other functionality that will not be working in this situation.

I certainly know that Microsoft has removed xp from compatibility and I need to know that what are issue that will occur or will arise a bottle neck to user when they use XP

I need more functional as technical inputs . If you could let me know any severe 1 issue also great ..Appreciate your comments

    Hi....

I'm not sure you'll get a list of issues like that.

As XP is now in effect unsupported, MS will not be testing against it - or IE8 for that matter, and so will unlikely produce a specific list of what might not work. Unless anyone else has produced a list.

I do not have a list.

CRM 2013 Online is working on XP and IE8. I saw that and did not face an issue so far. But that CRM was not heavily customized and therefore I could not provide more detailled Infos. Maybe someone else can?

    Hi RAGAVENDRAN,

when we document that a certain environment or scenario is not supported, this doesn't necessarily mean that this is not going to work; it means that this scenario wasn't (fully) tested and verified and if it fails, Microsoft Support would not be able to investigate it and request a fix for it. Therefore I am afraid that we don’t have information about the expected issues on a Windows XP client machine.

    Thank your for your understanding.

Maybe some other customers with the same scenario can report more about their experience.

I would recommend you to look for opportunities to upgrade the OS of the affected machines in the future to be able to benefit from the full product functionality and technical support.

Thank you for using Microsoft Dynamics CRM Community
