I know requisitions can be entered in either the web or desktop client.  However it appears that approvers only have full functionality (click into the doc from and email, approve or reject from an email) if they are using the web client.  Is that correct?

    You should be able to take those actions when using the desktop client as well.

    You do not need the web client.  All you need is to have the GP web services running in order to approve or reject directly from email.
