I would like to understand why Dynamics CRM (On-Prem) required the O365 Global admin account in-order to configure Exchange online with CRM on-prem.
There are a lot of blogs (below) explaining how to do it but not why it is required
I would like to know what the O365 Global Admin account is used for
eg. is it used to initiate the script which uses the certificate to authenticate Exchange online with CRM on-prem
