There are many canned Smartlists in the list/tree of folders. How do you make the Smartlists which we will never use and do not want to see not viewable in this list/tree? I know how to make Smartlists we created through Smartlist Builder accessible or not assessable through Security Tasks. Is there a similar way to remove groups of Smartlists for modules we are not implementing or individual Smartlists that are not applicable to us?

Yes, all SmartList object visibility is controlled via security tasks. If I recall correctly, the operations are spread through the default enquiry tasks.
