CRM 2013 Opportunity - Strange behavior when adding products

Hi!

I have a fresh install of Dynamics CRM 2013 and have been trying to create a sales opportunity.

However, when I try to add products to the list then I have the following Problem:

Lets say I want to make a sales opportunity for a 350 m² house:

I enter the product, and say that one unit is 1 m² and costs 1800 euros. So I enter a unit Price of 1800, and 350 Units.

when I finish, then the correct amount is calculated. But once I Close the opportunity, and reopen it, or tell CRM to recalculate the opportunity then it changes the Units from 1 to 10000000000, and the unit Price from 1800 to 18000000 without me doing anything.

Even if I use a pricelist I have the same Problem.

Does anyone have a tip as to where I could Change a Setting to stop CRM from creating this error?

Check the Pricing decimal precession setting's in system settings and decimal precession setting's for your currencies.

I went into the System Settings and checked the currency configurations. The decimal precession Setting is set at "2" which is correct.

I even went into the Form properties and changed the Settings there, that however didn't solve the Problem either.

So, I have created a screenshot to Show my Problem. Maybe this could help in solving it.

    Hi JAS,

I have the exact same problem as you describe with a new CRM 2013 on-premise installation for a new customer of us.

It looks to me that it is some kind of display problem in that form, and there probably is also a related javascript validation problem (saying quantity is out of valid range).

If you open the related opportunity products from the top menu, the quantity and prices show normal display behavior. It is just this grid view on the opportunity form that shows bad behavior, I think.

I hope Microsoft comes up with a solution or bugfix quickly...

    Regards,

    Wilco

I have been abusing Google for the last couple of weeks on the subject, and a couple of days ago I found an article where someone here in Germany claimed to be having the same Problem. According to him this is a bug in Dynamics, and Microsoft is aware of the problem.
