How can I customize the Close Opportunity Dialog Box???

Hi,

I am trying to update the status reason values in the close opportunity dialog box. My organization has multiple different reasons for a win/loss that I would like to include in the status reason.

I have system admin access, but this form and all of the fields are locked and I can not edit them in any capacity, including the values of the status reason field.

Is there any quick easy solution that will allow me to add additional reasons?

Thanks,

Adel

A  much requested feature but not directly possible. One option is to:

    1. remove close as won/close as lost buttons from toolbar

    2. add status reason or any other field you like to indicate status onto form

    3. use jscript to show and make compulsory win/loss reasonscwhen statusvfield above changes

    4. use workflow to change status automatically to won or lost

you could also use dialogues to achieve it

While you can't customize the Close Opportunity form, you can customize the option set values of the opportunity Status Reason field.

Navigate to your solution, expand the Entities components, expand the Opportunity entity, click on Fields, open the Status Reason fields. Customize the option set options to meet your requirements. Save and close. Publish.

    Hi Neil,

I am a system admin but this option is locked down ie you can edit the Status Reason field at all (2013 On Premise) - is this normal?  I could change it in 4.0?

ignore my comment - i just realised it is done via the opportunity module and not the opportunity close module

Did the trick for us :)

As CRM Matt points out below, for any that don't read things properly, the change is made on the Opportunity entity not the Opportunity Close entity.
