Direct delivery with fixed vendor

Hello Experts,

In direct delivery from sales order, how to limit the number of vendors or fixed vendors for it.

Appreciate your feedback for how this functionality works.

If you're doing an automatic direct delivery - meaning you have set up the product so that it is always used - you can only assign one default vendor. If you're doing a manual direct delivery, you can select any.

Now, that said, if you want to restrict vendors for the product you can if you set up filters and that will limit vendors. If you need help with that, let me know.

Hi,

You have two options:

1. Map default vendor at item master but this will allow you to change vendor

2. Map approved vendor with error validation so that user should select only approved vendor

Hello Howard,

Thanks for reply. Please clarify when you say set up filters you mean this is done by Warehouse management > Setup > Filters > Generally available items for Vendors? If not please help with more information to setup filters.

By point 1 setting vendor in Item master but it is not helping in limiting vendors:

for point 2, please clarify steps for Mapping approved vendor with error validation is same as approve-vendors-specific-products?

Hello PSoni,

Change the approved vendor check method to not allowed, so that user can place order to only the approved vendor mapped to the product.
