Sub-grid & Views

Hi Community,

I have created a sub-grid on our main account form linked to an entity called Restaurants. I am trying to use the restaurant entity to displays each clients individual top five restaurants (that are manually entered) only. When I create and save a new restaurant, it is displaying the full list of 'active restaurants' on each clients profile. I have tried to change the view options, but when I do I loose the grid and + sign due to it loosing the connection with the entity. Is there something I'm missing? Is this a rule that I have to create? Which area should I be focusing on, the views, field or main account page? Any help you can provide would be highly appreciated. Many Thanks.

To confirm - you want a subgrid of restaurants on accounts.  Those restaurants already exist as records, but you want someone to be able to manually select which ones are the client's top (i.e. its not getting calculated automatically by number of visits or anything like that).  Correct?

What type of relationship do you have between accounts and restaurants?  Can you show a screenshot of the window where you're configuring the subgrid options?

    Hi,

Go to subgrid properties from form editor  select view selector= Show selected views.

You can select your views from there , check if you selected correct view. You can edit the view and put filter criteria which you want.

    Hi Emma,

I think you missed selecting "Only Related Records" in sub grid properties.
