using barcode at warehouse management module

Hello Experts BC

is the business central support the barcode at the transactions, as i want to use a barcode scanner to read the item barcode at the warehouse transaction page.

to more clarifications

i want to declare a barcode for each item, then at the warehouse transaction page such as inbound and out bound i want to scan the barcode of the item to call the itemcode.

is business central support that?

Looks like this is possible and some app uses this method. See below app which some of them have free options

If you are talking about having a computer at the shipping or receiving area and a barcode scanner to input the Item number, then about any barcode scanner will work as long as you have the Item Number printed as a readable barcode for your scanner.

If you ware wanting to use a handheld device, then you need to look into an App. MahGah pointed some out, and I would look into the Warehouse Insight Express, it is a free version of Insight Work's full Warehouse Insight Advanced WMS product (which is worth the money).

Good luck with your implementation of scanning. I highly encourage you to involve your Partner as there are many steps involved to do it correctly.

Hi, BC supports most of BarCode since the most recent version.

Using 2D barcodes Font in BC Online/SaaS (Aztec, Data Matrix, Maxi Code, PDF417, QR-Code):

Use one-dimensional barcodes in reports (Business Central online):

https://yzhums.com/11763/

But this is only printed from BC, if you need to read, you may need a solution from MahGah's proposal.
