Dynamics URL change and SharePoint integration

hi

I have changed Dynamics 365 URL, the Sharepoint's URL remains the same and now I cannot open any document's from Dynamics 365 which are stored in SP, ideally I would like SharePoint to use the same domain in the URL as Dynamics 365, how do I go about changing that for SharePoint? can I just update Sharepoint's URL under Document Management Settings in Dynamics 365?

many thanks,

Martyna

Hi Martyna, that seems like the correct process - this video may be useful to guide you through the process

It’s not clear. Both CRM & SP are online. So url will be https://xyz.crm.dynamics.com & https://abc.sharepoint.com

So when you say you changed the url, does it mean changing environments like backup/restore?

Also why do you want to change the spsite url (default site) under Document management settings?

Domains cannot be changed just like that.

    Hi,

Can you share a screenshot of the error/issue you are getting? Ideally if you do update run the wizard Document Management Settings, it should bring back the broken link if any.

    Hope this helps.

I have updated the domain of D365 to xyz.crm11.dynamics.com so I would like the sharepoint to also have the same domain xyz.sharepoint.com rather than the old domain.

the link actually works now, but I still want to change the domain, the good thing is that this is just a dev environment I am working on prod hasn't been set up yet, so I am not worried about losing historic links or data, perhaps the way to go about it is to disable SP integration and then run the wizard with the new URL? but how do I disable it?
