What can change the Relationsship behaviour on a Entity and how to see who made changes that affected this?

Hi,

I have had an issue that all activities have been changed when I changed the owner of the Account.

The thing is that i two years ago changed the cascading to none, but somewhere between then and now, this rule has been changed. Any idea if a solution/update can change these settings.

Is it possible to see what/who did that the Activities related to the Account changed to the new owner and changed modified on?

Relationship behavior changed in following conditions:

    1.Some one changed it manually.

2.Some one imported a solution that has different relationship behavior.

Changes of records are captured in Audit history, Hence look there.

    Hi

As suggested by others, the relationship behaviour can be updated by solutions imported.

If you still want to dig deep and find out who and when it was changed, you could try the following

Query the SolutionComponentBase table for recent changes, it has modifiedon and modifiedby, and this also has solutionid and objectid

You can use both the solutionid and the objectid to check the actual component name,

Solutions can change the cascading behaviour of a relationship. If you import a solution that contains a relationship, then all the cascading options will be overwritten (there are exceptions for custom relationships deployed as a managed solution).

I don't think any CRM upgrade will change the cascading behaviour

    Hi Ale,

Since it is OOB relationships, I suspect upgrades may impacted in your case.

tracing changes is doable only when you have audit enabled on respective entities, if so you can easily fetch audit - community.dynamics.com/.../217710

Yes - In audit history you can see the "Assign Event" when this happens and it will tell you who did it.

You can got to customizations > parent entity > 1:n relationship and open individual activity relationnship such as phone call or email etc. and you should see that you are able to change the behaviour.
