I am using the tracking feature in microsoft dynamics crm and in the subject of my email the CRM tracking number is always displayed...ie My Awesome Email Subject CRM:00000001 . Is there any way I can remove the crm tracking number from the email subject line?

Sincerelly,

Sean Burke

Thanks! Worked great. Do you know how the emails are tracked now that this option is turned off? Is it by subject line? Ie....if someone changes the subject and sends the email back will it still be tracked somehow?

Yes, it is by the subject text. The emails will still continue to be tracked, which is based on the Smart Matching regular expression. The default/out of the box expression works great, and there is generally no reason to modify it.

Just ran some tests and you are right....works great even when changing the subject line. Thanks again.

Hi Team, I have the same problem as Sean above, but I do not have "Administration" under Settings in my view, only "Options", "Print Preview", "Apps for Dynamics 365", "See welcome Screen", "About" and "Opt out of Learning Path". Are there any suggestions for this? Thanks!

    Hi V-Johcra,

You are trying to change system setting from user settings. Not possible:)

You have to go to Area "Setting" and then to System Settings or Email Configuration Settings:
