what are the limitations of javascript in crm 2011?In which scenario we can use plugin instead of javascript?

Here's one scenario you should consider, I'm sure there's loads more.
1. Javascript will only fire when your user is doing something on the record they have open. For example if you have a calculation field on your form of say fieldx+fieldy = fieldz. When a user updates field x and fieldy, fieldz is calculated, this works great when a user is in the record and updating it but if you bulk upload some records this calculation will not happen and your fieldz will be null(blank).
