Hi Guys,
I have a custom entity "Customer Details" and I wanted automatic ID generator to create an ID based on Customer Name.
For example: Customer name = TESCO, I would like ID to be: TES-001. First 3 letters of the name and followed by 3 digits in sequence.

Hi Rasi,
If you are using crm 9.X you can use the built in auto numbering attributes - see docs.microsoft.com/.../create-auto-number-attributes
If you are using earlier versions you'd need to create your own auto numbering plug-in and make sure you use the CRM Database Transaction to obtain unique values. Here is a link to a forum where this topic is being discussed: social.microsoft.com/.../auto-number-plugin
