Our company has 2 situations whereby we need to break down products and return the components to inventory.
1. We buy used products externally and break them down into individual components and want to put them back into inventory.
2. We have returns from our manufacturing process (returns from customers) that we want to disassemble and put back into inventory.
At present, what we do is simply add an item journal with a positive adjustment to add components back to inventory in business central (exploding the BOM where relevant). But it seems quite manual, and we're looking for a more optimal way. Any suggestions or ISVs that could be helpful?
