Re-order Entities behind the New Record button on Global Search results

Hi,

I am trying to re-order the entities which appear when you select the New Record button on Global Search Results.

My order is currently

Account

Contact

Enquiries

I would like to move Enquiries to the top of the drop down list.

Can you please advise.

    Hi Ian,

    I don't think you can customize this button as it uses internal javascript to populate the items.

    You can however build you own custom button and add the entities the way you want it.

    I haven't done this but believes the below links will suffice to achiev this requirement-

    1. Creating a new fly out button - www.develop1.net/.../Add-Dynamic-Menu-to-Ribbon-Button.aspx

    2. Using java script to open entity form - msdn.microsoft.com/.../jj602956.aspx

    Hi Ian,

    i suspect the sort order is alphabetic, so you can try to edit entity plural display name, like:

    *Enquires or .Enquires

    Account

    Contact
