Dear Team,
We are considering deploying Dynamic 365 Asset Management Module but need to compare Pros & Cons with our current software Inextia (https://www.inextia.com/) to have enough decision-making data to move forward.
We are a screw manufacturer due to that have equipment and machinery that need to have asset management. In addition, we have offices and files that need asset management.

i will provide you with a quick overview rather than give you the link of dyanmics 365 documentation ,asset management module in d365 , will enable you to create the following

Maitenance plan that will create work automatically based on time and counters and assign it to the workers or worker groups assigned to this type of work
think of mechanical engineer only assigned mechanical maitenance work and the same goes for electrical maintenance work

Can create counters for working hours such as time the machine has worked and can be integerated with most systems to have this inputs automated to D365

Very easy to use once setted up , have alot of out of the box reports to show asset KPIs such as time mean time between failure and perecetage of availability of each asset or asset group

Can always view asset history and work done on it and a good scheduling system for resources on the work , if you have any other mor specified questions please mark this answer

Have you had a look at the documentation for Asset Management in D365F&SCM?
That will probably answer at least some of your questions.

I doubt that you will find many people with experience in both solutions on this forum - this is a Microsoft community after all.

I assume that you already have D365 F&SCM running in your company and in that case you could also ask either your current partner (or someone else) for a demo of the module.
That might be able to help you better compare it to your current solution.

Hi MK – we’ve done many implementations of D365 Asset Management in the manufacturing space. The out-of-the-box solution for Asset Management is very strong and historically we’ve done them with little to no modifications. If you are interested in having a discussion on the D365 capabilities free to contact me and we can set something up.
